*NOTE*
If you are going to use the send as function, please let the helpdesk know this so we can enable SMTP authentication on your affiliated mailbox!
Also, if you have MFA (multi-factor authentication) enabled on your affiliated mailbox, you must use a Microsoft App password for the setup shown below to work <click on the following link to learn how to setup the app password: How to setup a Microsoft App password in 6 easy steps!>
- On a computer, log into your Gmail via a web browser
- Click on the settings icon in the upper right, then click “See all Settings”
- Navigate to the Accounts and Import tab
- Click on “Add another email address” (OR if you already have your affiliated email added but need to update settings or password, click "Edit info" next to the account)
- Type in the username you use to log into your affiliated email and click “Next Step >>”
- Type in either: your Microsoft app password OR your current affiliated email password (temporary passwords will not work), then click “Add Account >>”
- If your affiliated username and password correct, you should be taken to a verification screen with instructions to check your affiliated mailbox for a verification link – click on this link or enter the verification code and click “Verify”
- Your affiliated mailbox should now be added as send-as from your Gmail – now you can send from your Gmail, and it will appear to the recipient that it came from your affiliated mailbox!
