*These instructions apply only if your Citrix MFA was provisioned in advance to work with your iOS/Apple phone using the Duo Mobile app – if you had not provided your cell phone information for this provisioning, your MFA has been configured to work with your office phone line (see Citrix/Darwin MFA: setup and usage (Office phone line) – Century 21 Affiliated: Help Desk (c21affiliated.com))
Proceed to your App Store and download the Duo authenticator app - The pictured app (to the right) is the one you want to download. |

Once Duo is installed it, check for a text message that looks like the one featured to the right. The activation link in this message will link your Duo app with your Citrix account. This link is unique to you and can only be clicked once, so use the one that is sent to your phone after you've installed the app. | |
The link will open in a web browser, and then ask you to “Open this page in Duo Mobile”. Tap Open, and the account will link.
*(If this does not work, the Duo app was not installed successfully in step 2 and should be attempted again.)
If it worked, the Duo app will open. If you are asked about getting Notifications from Duo, press Yes. |

You should now see a box within Duo that says AccountTECH - this means your iPhone is now registered with the Duo Mobile app. | |
Now, go to your computer, and log into Citrix as you usually would with username and password. |

You will see a new screen upon logging in. This is the MFA screen. Locate the drop-down box that is labeled Device: and select your name. The number next to your name should be the same as your cell phone number. | |
When your name is selected in the Device: box, you will then have to authenticate your account. Do this by clicking the green Send Me a Push button. | |
Your phone will notify you that someone is trying to sign in into Citrix Gateway. You may tap the notification to open Duo and approve the request. (The screen shot to the right is an example of the notification you would tap on your phone)
*Alternatively, you can just find the Duo app on your phone and open it normally as well.

Once you are in Duo, tap the green checked circle to approve your request. |
CONGRADULATIONS! You’ve complete Citrix MFA setup and should be successfully logged into AccountTECH’s Citrix portal. You will need to use the Duo app every time you log into AccountTECH Citrix before you open Darwin.
If you remove the app from your smart phone, replace your smartphone, or change your mobile number, please let the helpdesk know right away so you don’t lose access! If you encounter any errors with setup or using the app, please contact our helpdesk for assistance.
