Auto-fill is a powerful feature within LastPass but some users may find it more cumbersome than helpful. If you find that auto-fill is not working for you or preventing you from completing your objective, simply turn off auto fill. To turn off Auto-Fill click the chrome extension in the top right of chrome and click “Account” at bottom of window. Then click extension settings. Click “Notifications” in the left column and uncheck any auto-fill feature you would like to disable.
Important Auto-fill tip: If you are actively using LastPass auto-fill be sure and pay close attention any time you click “update password” in the auto fill pop-up box. Anytime you enter a password other than what is stored in your vault, LastPass will think you have a new password and will want to overwrite the old, often correct, password.
This is especially true when using BMO deposit Edge Login for check deposit. LastPass will want to auto save anything you enter that is not your actual login password. For example, LastPass may ask to update one of your security question answers as your new password. You should never click update in this case. Use diligence and pay attention before you have LastPass update a password and be 100% sure the password you are updating to is correct.
